It is with mixed feelings that I have to announce the retirement of Counsel, Mr Thomas Busby, after 40 years at the Bar.
Tom was a member of No 1 Fountain Court Chambers in Birmingham until 2002 when he became a Sole Practitioner, he joined Foregate Chambers in 2009 and his support and hard work throughout his time with us have made him an invaluable asset.
We wish him well in this major life change: the end of his working career and the beginning of more travel and new challenges. No more day-to-day grind, alarm clock arousals and sitting in rush hour traffic!
Retirement is a time to enjoy life, a time to do what you want to do, when you want to do it, how you want to do it, where every day is a fun day and your week consists of six Saturdays and a Sunday!
Always the perfect gentleman, he will indeed be missed.
